I’m Aentee, a 20-something lover of books and pretty things. By day, I like to recommend books to the patients I see in my optometry clinic. By night, I read books, watch TV and hog of the living room couch.
Aside from reading and reviewing books, I also like to make fanart of said books on Photoshop, you can find my graphics all over this blog and beyond.
My favourite authors are Catherynne M. Valente (who reigns at the very top of the list), Patrick Ness, Victoria Schwab, Juliet Marillier and Terry Pratchett.
REVIEW POLICY:
Genres I love to read and review:
- Speculative fiction, especially fantasy and science fiction
- Magical realism/fabulist fiction
- Literary fiction
- Books with a specific focus on Asian experiences, think Ruth Ozeki, Haruki Murakami, Amy Tan, Ken Liu
- Books with a focus on racial and gender diversity
- Young adult
Genres I will consider for review:
- Contemporary fiction
- Romance
- Middle Grade
- Picture book / Artbook
- Non-fiction
Genres I will not review:
- Erotica
- Sequels to series I have not read
I will always endeavour to post a review on the week of the book’s release, whenever possible.
