For more info on the Pokemon Indigo League #ReadThemAllThon reading challenge, read my Info/Sign Up post here. This post just includes the titles I will be tackling during the challenge period.
Chosen Pokemon
A 2-stage evolution Pokemon is no good for points, but I just really love Vulpix & Ninetails, OK? May change it to a Togepi or Mareep if I get point hungry later on.
TBR Pile
Confession, I have not read the His Dark Materials trilogy. I did purchase the beautiful UK boxed set a month ago, so it’s time I get started on reading Northern Lights! I have insanely high hopes for it.
399 pages, potential +39CP
I want to read It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover for this challenge, because it happens to be one of the books of the month for Bibliophile Academy! In case you didn’t know, this is a rad bookclub on twitter and instagram that you should totally join – not least of all because I am utterly biased. The girls who’s read this seems to be quite distraught so hopefully it will make me cry?
384 pages, potential +38CP
I will be reading the most hyped up book of the year, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for this challenge. There is no way I will go through August without reading this, so 2 birds, 1 stone.
320 pages, potential +32CP.
I love diverse books so I have a list as long as my arm as potential picks for this. For now, I will go with Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing as I own the book. It follows the life of two half-sisters from 18th century Ghana and have been getting rave reviews everywhere. I am very curious!
305 pages, potential +30CP
Rainbow Rowell is coming to Melbourne at the end of August, so I need to knock a few more books of hers off my reading list. I chose Attachments because I have heard from lots of people that it’s their favourite.
323 pages, potential +32CP
Lev Grosman is also coming to Melbourne Writer’s Festival, so I want to read The Magicians before the event on the 28th! I have heard very mixed things about this book, but I hope I’ll like it, especially now that I have moderated my expectations.
402 pages, potential +40CP
I want to go with The Vegetarian by Han Kang, but I am a bit conflicted because it’s a really short book and will put me back points wise. AHHH! TO BE DECIDED.
192 pages, potential +19CP.
I really want to read The Gracekeepers by Kirsty Logan for this challenge. It’s set in a world divided into landlockers and damplings who set adrift in the sea. There’s a bear girl, a floating circus, and promises of ladies kissing.
320 pages, potential +32CP
Potential Points If I Finish ALL Books (includes completed book bonus) = 422CP.

I can’t wait for you to read His Dark Materials! And I’m super jealous of that box set you have haha. It’s one of my childhood favourites, and my copies don’t match + are super battered!

His Dark Materials is possibly my favourite series of all time! The Vegetarian might pull you back on points, but I read Han Kang’s Human Acts a couple of months ago and if her quality in consistent, the writing will be wonderful.
Plus, it beat my ‘might cry’ pick, A General Theory of Oblivion, to the Man Booker prize.
My TBR post is here, complete with Dratini trainer card 😀

went with Eevee because when it is time to evolve, going to use whatever book I am to decide which evolution she turns in to!! in my tbr video it is easy to see that I have about 0% idea what I am reading, but feel free to check it out. Love all the points that can be earned besides badges. Awesome idea!

I’m a little late to the party, but I just put up my TBR Pile. This is such a fun idea, Antee! And I still need to do the Pokemon tag you created a few weeks ago. But now it’s going to have to wait until after the challenge is over. lol
